What are real life scams that people fall for all the time?

 There are scams done through email or internet, where you get emails or message:

1. Saying some subscription or warranty has been renewed automatically and you would get refund / cancellation by calling the number given
2. Asking “do you need part time job just working from home” and then scamming you before you understand anything.
3. Asking you to pay some money initially to claim lottery etc.

Just few examples from the modus operandi of the scammers.

They specially target the people who are not tech friendly ( mostly the elderly people ) or they try to scam the people who are desperately hunting for job.

I was surprised to see that most of the call centers for such scams are operated from Kolkata. Even Kolkata is now bigger than Jamtara, as new scam capital. They are making victims from India and rest of the world (especially Americans).

It was good to see few youtubers ( e.g. hackers by profession ) are exposing these scammers. They are even capable to track scammers with the location co-ordinates and also gather proofs.
I believe, they also work on paid basis for individual cases based on a some fees, if they agree to track down
